Cigarette Litter Beach Cleanup

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Cleanup

5:00 pm Wrap up and tally of Butts and Bottle Caps

  • Cigarette butts are one of the top three items picked up at beach cleanups
  • Cigarette butts are not biodegradable and contain many toxins
  • Secondhand smoke is one of the leading causes of cancer, containing over 4,000 carcinogens

 Prizes, Scavenger BUTT Hunt, and Refreshments

  2. Become an Earth Resource Foundation volunteer

 Cigarette butts on the street end up in our waterways.
